2 BEFORE CONNECTING THE FILTER
2.1 Location
Place the filter on a flat, solid surface at a minimum distance of 3.5 metres from the pool (in accordance with standard NF
C15-100 or the equivalent standard of the region or country) and at the same level as the bottom of the pool to prevent air
from entering the cleansing circuit and the filter from becoming unprimed (Fig. 2). The filter should be protected from sun
and rain, and kept it in an area with sufficient ventilation during operation. Never cover it during operation.
2.2 Assembly
After the filter has been set into place, proceed as follows:
2.2.1 Loading the sand AR1500
? Cover the opening of the collector tube that is inside the filter, with protective plastic in order to prevent sand from
entering the tube (Fig. 5 A).
? Place the inner collector properly on the bottom of the filter (Fig. 6).
? Insert ONLY 135 Kg of sand inside the filter (fig. 5A). Sand no supplied. The silica sand lasts for an unlimited
period of time and should only be replaced in the event of sand loss. Record the sand level for future replacement.
Keep the remaining sand in the bag in a dry place.
? Eliminate the remains of sand from the filter opening and remove the protective plastic.
? Place the TOP selector valve with its coupling and secure with the metal band or seal following the diagrams in the
instructions attached to the metal band.
? Tighten firmly the screw on the metal band (Pos. 6 Fig.4 ), which joins the valve to the filter.
2.2.2 Connecting the hoses models AR1500
Connect one end of the 0.58 m. hose (Pos.8 Fig.8) to the inlet bushing of the selector valve (that comes in the PUMP
position) and tighten with a clamp. Connect the other end to the pin connection of the upper part of the motor (Pos.15 Fig.9
and Fig.15) (that is already assembled) using a clamp.
? Place a flat seal (Pos.11 Fig.8) inside the return connection (RETURN) of the selector valve and fully tighten the
bushing (Pos.12 Fig.8). Connect one end of one of the 4.5 m. hoses (Pos.10 Fig.8) to this bushing using a clamp (Fig.8).
Connect the other end of this hose to the return nozzle in the swimming pool using a clamp. (Fig.3).
? Connect one end of the other 4.5 m. hose to the skimmer using a clamp (Fig.3). To connect the other end of this hose,
follow the instructions given below depending on the pump model supplied.
2.2.3 Assembling the pump
??First check which model of pump is supplied with the equipment and follow the corresponding instructions.
2.2.3.1 Model with Senna Pump (Fig. 9)
Place the O-ring (Pos.16 Fig.9) at the inlet of the pump, insert the pin connection(Pos.15 Fig.9) through the nut
(Pos.14 Fig.9), and fully tighten it to the connection.
Connect the end of the 4.5 m. hose (Pos.10 Fig.9), from the skimmer to this connection, using a clamp.
