•
The temperature inside the appliance is a function of several factors, such as the room
temperature, the quantity of food stored, how often the door is opened, etc.
•
To use the freezer compartment when the appliance is initially switched on or after it
has been switched off for a prolonged period of time, set the thermostat to a maximum
of "7" for about 2 hours before placing frozen or deep-frozen products in the freezer
compartment. Then turn the thermostat back to its usual position.
NOTE: When the thermostat is set to "7", you may hear the compressor running more often.
IMPORTANT: high room temperatures (such as on a hot summer day) and a cold setting on the
thermostat (position «5») can cause the compressor to run continuously.
Reason: when the room temperature is high, the compressor must run continuously to maintain
a low temperature in the appliance.
REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT

To make it easier for you to set the right temperature in your refrigerator, it is
equipped with a temperature indicator in the coldest part of the refrigerator
bearing the adjacent pictogram.
•
To keep food fresh in your refrigerator, especially if it is in the coldest part, make sure that
the temperature indicator reads "OK".
Incorrect setting
Correct setting
•
If OK is not displayed, it means that the average temperature is too high, in which case you
should turn the thermostat up to a colder setting.
•
Whenever you alter the thermostat setting, you should give the internal temperature
time to stabilise before making any other changes. The thermostat setting should only
be changed progressively and you should wait at least 12 hours before rechecking the
temperature and making further changes.
Note: It is normal for "OK" not to show on the temperature indicator after loading the appliance
with fresh food or repeatedly opening the door (or leaving it open for a long time); please
therefore wait at least 12 hours before adjusting the temperature.

If the refrigerator compartment evaporator (bottom surface of the appliance) frosts up
abnormally (due to the refrigerator being overfilled, a high ambient temperature, the
thermostat being on a high setting or the door being opened frequently), progressively
move the thermostat dial to a lower setting until you reach a point at which the compressor
alternates between on and off again.

The symbol
marks the coldest part of the refrigerator where the temperature is +4°C or
below. It is located between the fruit and vegetable drawer lid and the upper shelf as shown in
the diagram below (grey shaded area).

To ensure that it stays at the correct temperature, make sure the removable shelves
surrounding it are installed next to the stickers.
