DIFFERENCES OF L.P.G. BURNERS IN COMPARISON WITH NATURAL GAS BURNERS.
CALORIFIC POWER : kcal/Nm 3 8.600
L.P.G. burners must be installed with two pressure reducers. First reducer, that normally is installed on the tank, reduces
pressure down to 1.5 bar. Second reducer from 1.5 bar to 37÷50 mbar. Gas pressure in the tank can reach 10-12 bars. For
the above explained reasons special attention should be taken on following operations items:
l. Regulation of gas flow, keeping in mind that L.P.G. has almost three times the calorific power of NATURAL GAS.
2. It is very usefull to install a pressure gauge after the second pressure reducer and before the gas train.
3. It is recommended to install n.2 gas valves in series instead of one.
4. Strongly recommended gas filter must de installed before burner gas train.
5. To calculate the proper gas quantity in absence of GAS METER, this should be done trough combustion
control and specially on the exhaust gases temperature checking.

Once connected the burner to the gas pipe make sure that there are no leakages.
Air bleed the pipe through the pressure gauge fixing point and check the pressure with a pressure gauge. Turn
the thermostats to the desired temperature. The burner will purge for about 30 sec. At this point the gas valve
opens and the transformer ignites. Control the gas flow in the gas meter and adjust the needed quantity of gas
operating on the gas valve. Adjust the needed quantity of air, operating on the air regulator.
In case of no ignition the burner goes to lock-out time is less than one sec.
In case of extintion of the flame while operating lock-out time is less than one sec.
In case of lack or descreasing of air pressure, the air pressure switch shutts off the gas valve.

NATURAL GAS
The governor does not form part of the burner accessories and therefore technical instruc-
tions on the adjustement of this component have been omitted. However it is important
to know the folling points:
1-The gas pressure in the gas-mains must not exceed the maximum permitted pressure
for the governor.
2-Every governor is furnished with several springs, usually identified by their colour, each
allowing a range of setting.
It is necessary to select the correct spring to suit the pressure required on the burner.
