PRO MODE
Pro mode allows the user to perform a transmit check as well as a receive check
without exiting the group check mode. It is disabled by default and can be enable via
the PIEPS app. Check the manual for more details.

If you do not receive a signal or see signs of a buried victim on the avalanche debris,
move quickly through the search area, while minding the stated search strip width
of your beacon.

The search strip width for the PIEPS PRO IPS is 80m as indicated on the display.
In the event of interfering signals, the PRO IPS will indicate a reduced search strip
width.
COARSE SEARCH
As soon as the beacon is receiving a signal, it will start to
vibrate and "beep", indicating the direction to the victim via
an arrow. Follow the direction indication quickly and see if
the distance value decreases.
If the distance reading increases, you are moving in the
wrong direction. In this case, the displayed arrowhead
will point towards you, instructing you to turn around.
When the distance to the buried victim is below 10m, the
direction arrow changes to outlines only, as a reminder to
reduce the search speed.
