MAINTENANCE
The gun and the Soldering Tip (#1) are designed to easily disconnect for occasional replacement.
Tip Replacement
Unscrew the two screws connecting the Soldering Tip (#1) to the gun. Pull off the old tip, replace it, and
replace the two screws.
Soldering tips may only be changed while the soldering iron is unplugged and at room temperature.
Unscrew the screws of the soldering tip with the appropriate screwdriver. The electric soldering iron
will not work unless the soldering tip has been correctly inserted.
After removing the tip being replaced, vacuum or remove any remains of rust or dirt that might be
found on the knurled nut assembly.
The use of protective goggles is recommended to prevent accidentally getting any dirt in your eyes.
Replace the soldering tip and tighten to ensure the clamping. The use of pliers is only recommended
for this job if the knurled nut is loosened while the soldering iron is turned on and hot. Exert the
necessary clamping.
