Before proceeding with the installation of
the equipment, you must first carefully read the
entire instruction manual and pay special
attention to safety precautions.
The installation site must respect some basic
conditions to guarantee its safety and the proper
functioning of the equipment, namely it must
support the weight of the equipment, plus the other
materials to be installed.
2.3. AIR INTAKE
Flamebox insets and stoves are developed in a way
that at the installation site you can decide which air
intake you will use, room air or external air to feed
combustion. If you intend to use room air, you don't
need to make any modifications to the preparation
that comes standard. If you use an external air
intake for combustion, the connection to the
appliance can be made through the socket
underneath the machine or using the one at the
rear. The connection has a diameter of 80mm, and
the stainless-steel connector is supplied with the
equipment. In this case, you must use the front air
inlet sealing piece (Fig. 1) and apply it to the air inlet
regulator (Fig. 2).

sealing piece, supplied
with the equipment.
Fig. 2 – Remove the screws; position
the sealing piece and tighten the
screws again.
If the installation place does not allow direct
admission of air from the outside to the appliance,
the room must be equipped with an outside air inlet
grille that has a minimum area of 50 cm2, in an
unobstructed area. If the house has VMC
(controlled mechanical ventilation), the air inlet grille
must be at least 80 cm2.
If it is installed in a room where there is other
burning equipment, an additional air intake must be
considered to ensure the proper functioning of both
equipment.
It is not recommended to install this equipment in a
bedroom or bathroom, as well as in a food

2.4. ELECTRIC CONNECTION
If not available on site, an electrical supply (AC 230-
240 V ~ 50 Hz) and an earth connection must be
provided in accordance with regulations.

2.5. CHIMNEY AND SMOKE PIPE
Before the installation of your appliance, the
future
need
maintenance must be considered. It is essential
that the existing chimney or the one to be installed
complies with the regulations and thus guarantees
the proper functioning of the appliance.
Direct connection of the stove's smoke outlet to a
duct made of aluminium, fibre cement or other
unsuitable material is prohibited. We recommend
the use of stainless steel or double-walled stainless-
steel duct that is thick enough to guarantee good
resistance to temperature and corrosion. The duct,
along its entire length up to the chimney, must be at
least 4 meters (400 cm) and must be away from
combustible materials along its entire length or, if
this is not possible, it must be properly insulated.
The duct cannot have deviations of more than 45 º
in relation to the vertical, and each curve requires
an increase of 50 cm in length. The chimney
length must be adequate to guarantee a
minimum draft of 12 Pa.
The smoke duct must maintain the same diameter
from the stove outlet to the chimney top, and its
weight must not be supported by the stove. The duct
