Installation

Preparing the floor
Do not install the shower base on open
CAUTION:
oor joists.
Strip the alcove to the bare studs. The studs should be plumb

and square to the sub- oor.
The oor must be clean, smooth, and level. Sub- oor must be

installed in the stud layout.
Cut a hole in the sub- oor to accommodate the drain (not included).

Staple the felt pad (C) to the sub- oor where the support feet on

the base (A) will make contact with the oor.

Leveling the base
NOTE: If the sub- oor is not level, a oor leveling
compound (smooth mortar) or a similar quick-setting
compound speci cally made for leveling oors is an
excellent way to fully support and level the base instead
of wood shims.
Trial t the base (A) in the prepared alcove. With the base (A)

sitting at on the oor, check with the level on top of the base (A).
It should be level from front-to-back and side-to-side.
If the base (A) is not level, install wood shims between the base

feet and the sub- oor as needed.
Remove the base (A) from the alcove.

