USE OF THE SIEVE
The grate (1) in a closed position (2) ensures the rapid and effective shredding of the
material contained inside the shredder. The grate is opened from the exterior using the
relative lever (3).
In the event of the progressive slowing of the motor, or complete motor stoppage,
position lever (3) to position (4).
This will completely open the discharge outlet and the shredder is emptied during the
operating stage.
Once it has been completely emptied the motor will begin to run freely, close the
discharge outlet of the grid by positioning lever (3) back to its original position (2).
WARNING
Insertion of excessively damp material may clog the appliance.
If excessively hard materials are inserted there is a risk of damage to the cutting
tools. There is also a risk of damage to the motor.
The insertion of pruning waste products from hedges that are too large, may
cause the engine to break down, due to excessive stress.
The shredder (excluding model BIO45) is complete with a micro-switch the
purpose of which is to:
1. Switch off the engine in the event of any attempts to open the volute screw with
engine running.
2. Prevent the starting of the engine with volute open or with the closure screw of
the volute itself not fully tightened.
