Battery recycling
Do not dispose of the batteries with household waste. In order to protect the environment, the
•
batteries must be disposed of according to current regulations.
Dispose of them at your nearest battery recycling point or return them to your store.
•
Do not recharge the batteries, do not disassemble them and do not throw them into the fire.
•
Do not expose them to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
•
Do not incinerate them.
•
WARNING!
Use only the type of battery specified in this manual.
•
Replace the batteries when they are worn out or leaking.
•
Remove the batteries if the device is not used for a long time.
•
STARTING
1.
Plug the unit into the socket to put it into standby mode.
2.
Press the button
to turn the unit on: it will operate in the
same mode as
when it was last switched off.
3.
Never turn off the unit by unplugging it from the power supply.
Always press the button
and wait a few minutes before
unplugging it: this allows the device to perform a series of
checks before shutting down.
MODE SETTINGS
To configure your device, you can use: the control panel or the remote control. Both methods are
therefore explained for each setting.
Comments on using the remote control:
Point it at the receiver (1) on the unit.

Stand within 7 metres of the unit, making sure that there are no
•
obstacles between the remote control and the unit.
Handle the remote control carefully: do not drop it and do not
•
expose it to direct sunlight or sources of heat.
The operation of the remote control is independent of the
•
operation of the unit. For example, when you turn off the device
from the control panel, the remote control does not turn off
automatically: you have to turn off the remote control as well.
The remote control works with 2 x AAA 1.5 V batteries provided.
•
Please install them before use by removing the back cover.

COOLING MODE
Ideal in hot weather when it is necessary to cool the room.
To select this mode from the control panel:
•
Press the button
until the indicator light
•
Select the desired temperature between 18°C and 32°C (64°F-90°F) by pressing on the button +
or -.

Select the fan speed by pressing the button
To select this mode from the remote control:

until the symbol
is displayed on the
remote control screen.

Select the desired temperature between 18°C and 32°C

Four speeds are available:
•
High speed: maximum fan power
•
Medium speed: reduces the noise level but maintains a certain level of comfort
•
Low speed: for quiet operation
•
"Auto" speed: the unit will automatically adapt the fan speed according to the selected temperature
for the best energy savings.
- If the room temperature exceeds the selected temperature by 2°C or more, the fan speed
is high.
- If the room temperature exceeds the selected temperature by 1°C, the fan speed is medium.
- If the room temperature is equal to or lower than the selected temperature, the fan speed
is low.
COMMENT:
The most suitable temperature for a room during the summer is between 24°C and 27°C (75°F to 81°F).
Setting the temperature much lower than the outdoor temperature is not recommended. The difference
in fan speed is more noticeable when the unit is in FAN mode but may not be noticeable in COOLING
mode.
HEATING MODE
To select this mode from the control panel:

Press the button
until the indicator light
Select the desired temperature between 13°C and 27°C (55°F-81°F) by pressing on the button +

The heating only comes on if the selected temperature is higher than the room temperature.
