3.5. BELT ADJUSTMENT CHECK
To check that the belt fits properly in the booster, follow these steps:
1. Place the child in the car booster: Make sure the child is sitting correctly in the seat, with the back against
the back of the seat.
2. Adjust the vehicle belt: Route the seat belt through the booster guides. Make sure the belt goes over the
child's shoulder and across the hips, not over the neck or tummy.
3. Check the belt tension: Make sure the belt is tight, with no slack or creases in the belt. It should fit snugly
against the child's body so that it does not move freely.
4. Check the fit of the belt across the collarbone: The belt should fit snugly across the child's collarbone,
without slipping down towards the neck.
5. Check the angle of the belt: Check that the belt is at the right angle, not too high or too low, and that it
is not twisted.
6. Perform the thumb test: After adjusting the belt, place your thumb between the child's shoulder
and the belt. There should be little slack, but it should not be so tight that it causes discomfort.

To attach the car booster to the seat, attach the booster handle
to the seat handle until you hear a click. Make sure it is securely
in place.
To remove the ISOFIX connector, press and hold the ISOFIX release
button and detach the car booster from the seat.
1. Attach the ISOFIX system to the booster cushion by following the
steps in point 3.3. The ISOFIX connector is optional, you can ignore
this step if you do not wish to use it.
2. Place the child seat on the car seat, push the booster cushion firmly
against the backrest of the car seat.
3. Let the child sit in the booster.
4. Pull the car seat belt, pass the lap belt under the armrest and then
across the child's hips, pass the shoulder belt across the child's
chest and then pass the lap belt and shoulder belt together on the
other side of the armrest. Tighten the lap belt and shoulder belt.
CAUTION! The seat belt must not become entangled, twisted or
jammed in the car door or other vehicle parts.
