The ON/STOP switchis used to stop
the engine.The switchstays in the ON
position.To stop engine,pushand hold
the switchin the STOP positionuntil
the engine comesto a completestop.
COLD START (_
The Cold Start(_) helpsto supplyfuel
to the carburetor duringstarting.This
allows you to starta coldengine. Acti-
vate the Cold Start(_) by movingthe
Cold Start_ leverto the Start position.
After enginehasstarted, moveCold

the fuel linesand fillsthem with fuel.
This allowsyou to startthe enginewith
fewer pullson the starter rope. Activate

lowing itto returnto its originalposition.
SPEED CONTROL _)
The SpeedControl ( _) controls engine
speed.Move itall the way forward for full
speedoperation. M ove itall theway
rearward foridlespeed.

FUELING ENGINE
This engine iscertifiedto operateon
unleadedgasoline.Beforeoperation,
gasolinemust be mixedwith a good
quality2.cycleair-cooledengine oil.
We recommendCraftsmanbrand oil.
Mix gasolineand oil at a ratioof 40:1
(A 40:1 ratiois obtainedby mixing3;2
ouncesof oilwith I gallonof unleaded
gasoline),DONOTUSEautomotiveoil
or boat oil.These oilswillcause engine
damage.When mixingfuel,follow
instructions p rintedon container.
Once oilis addedto gasoline,shake
containermomentarily to assure that
the fuel is thoroughly mixed.Always
