will be used to lower the pump into the liquid, and it can also be used to carry the pump (as an alternative to the
handle). If the rope is connected to the submersible pump for an extended period of use. We recommend that the
condition of the rope is checked regularly, as over time it may rot and break.
-
If the pump operates only irregularly, use a suitable 1" or 2/3" diameter water hose. If the pump operates in a
fixed location, we recommend using rigid hoses and a non-return valve. This prevents liquid from flowing back
when the pump is stopped. Installing quick-release fasteners simplifies maintenance and cleaning.
-
The size of the tank to be emptied must be such that the maximum frequency on start-up (see Technical
specifications) is not exceeded. If possible, the pump should be suspended in the liquid at a sufficient distance
from the ground when it is running, to prevent unsuitable solids being sucked in. These can block the pump or
impeller.
-
Choose the installation position so that the float switch is always freely movable and can be switched on and off
automatically without hindrance. The float switch can be switched on and off by changing the height setting.
Maintenance guidelines
-
This submersible pump is an approved, maintenance-free, high quality product that is subject to stringent final
inspections.
-
We recommend regular inspection and maintenance to ensure long equipment life and uninterrupted operation.
-
After each use with dirty water, clean the pump with clean mains water to prevent dirt residues from drying out.
Before reusing the pump, it must first be "soaked" so that the dirt residue does not block the pump. Protect the
pump from frost and store it in a frost-free place.
-
Check the operation of the float switch at regular intervals (lift the float switch and check that it engages and
stops by rolling the metal ball inside.
-
Remove the mains plug before any maintenance work.
-
Even if the pump is often transported during operation, it should be cleaned with clean water after each use.
-
In the case of stationary installation, the float switch should be checked every 3 months.
-
A jet of water should remove any fibrous particles that may have accumulated in the pump body.
-
Every 3 months, the shaft must be earthed and cleaned of mud.
-
Remove any deposits on the float with clear water.
Cleaning the impeller
If excessive deposits build up in the pump casing, you should dismantle the lower part of the pump as follows:
1. Unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom of the suction cage.
2. Remove the suction cage from the pump body.
3. Clean the impeller with clean water.
4. Assemble in reverse order.
