A SAFE OPERATION
1. Do not use the product when you are fatigued, ill or upset, or when under the influence of
the effects of alcohol, drugs or medication that causes drowsiness.
2. Wear safety shoes, tight clothes, and protective devices for eyes, ears and head. Use
vibration-proof gloves.
3. Keep the saw chain sharp and the saw, including the AV system in good repair. A string
paraded requires more cutting time, and the pressure of a dull chain through wood will
increase the vibrations transmitted to the operator's hands. A saw with loose components or
with AV cushions damaged or worn to present a higher level of vibration.
4. Handle fuel with care. Wipe up all spills of fuel. Move the chain saw at least 3 meters from
the fueling spot before starting the engine.
5. Eliminate all sources of sparks or flames (eg: cigarettes, open flames or sparks) in areas to be
mixed, loaded or stored fuel.
6. Do not smoke while handling fuel or while operating the saw.
7. Do not allow other people to be near the product when starting the engine or cutting.
Avoid having people or animals in the working area. Make sure that no one is within 10
meters before starting the engine or using product.
8. Never start cutting before having a clear work area, a good support for your foot and a safe
escape.
9. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands while the engine is running. The thumb and
fingers of both hands should hold firmly the product handles.
