Inserting and Removing Bits
(Main Hex Drive)
Ensure bit is locked in
chuck by pulling on bit
after insertion. Loss of control from loose bit
may cause personal injury or property damage.

Any 1/4" hex bit can be inserted directly into
the main Hex Drive 1 without using any of the
adapters (Fig. 8).
To insert bit, push Locking Sleeve 2 back and
insert bit.
To remove a bit, push Locking Sleeve 2 back
and remove bit.

(Offset Adapter)
Ensure bit is locked in
chuck by pulling on bit

Offset Adapter 15 has a Hex Drive 1 that ac-
cepts any 1/4" hex bit (Fig. 9).
To insert bit: push Locking Sleeve 2 back and
insert bit.
To remove a bit: push Locking Sleeve 2 back
and remove bit.

(Metal Drill Chuck Adapter)
Do not power on drill
while grasping chuck to
loosen or tighten bit. Contact with spinning
chuck can cause personal injury.

1. Move the Forward/Reversing Lever and
Trigger Lock 11 (Fig. 1) to the center
"OFF" position.
2. Rotate the Adjustable Clutch 3 to the drill
bit symbol
3. Rotate the chuck sleeve counter-clockwise
viewing from chuck end
chuck to approximate drill bit diameter.
