Start-up
Inserting the batteries
The device is powered by one 1.5 V LR03 (AAA) battery.
1. Press the battery compartment cover slightly and slide it
towards OPEN. Remove the cover.
2. Insert the batteries as shown on the bottom of the battery
compartment. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover and slide it upwards.
The locking tab must audibly engage.
After inserting the battery, you will hear a beep, and the display
will show data (see next chapter).
Suggestions for changing the battery:
‚ It is necessary to change the battery if the display is barely
legible or blank.
‚ Only use the battery type specified in "Technical data".
‚ Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally friendly
manner, see "Disposal".
