Battery
2.3 Assembly
X
Store the battery pack in a clean and dry
location. Avoid allowing water and dirt to
enter the battery socket or plug. Only
remove the battery from the bike in a
clean and dry environment.
Check your battery pack before using it for the
first time. First turn on the battery pack; if the
charging LED does not light up, it means that
this battery pack might be damaged.
Also, charge the battery pack fully before using
it for the first time.
X
Do not try to use or charge damaged battery
packs.
X
Please use genuine Hydrive battery chargers
or chargers that are approved to be used
with the Hydrive battery pack.
Note:
The battery packs are partially charged before they
are shipped; in order to ensure that the battery has
full and sufficient power, please charge your battery
pack fully before using it for the first time.
The battery pack can be charged under any power
mode; interrupting the charging process will not
damage the battery pack.
Please perform charging in environments between
14°F ~ 122°F (-10°C ~ +50°C).
WARNING
Do not connect the battery pack to the charger
unless under appropriate temperatures.
Charge control monitor
Once the battery pack switch is turned on, the
five LED lights on the charge control monitor
(number 7) will light up. Each light on the charge
monitor represents approximately 20% of the
power; so when the battery pack is fully charged,
all five LED lights will light up.
The battery charge level will also be displayed on
the handlebar mounted display.
Please refer to the manuals for the Display and Hub
Motor.
When the power of the battery pack is less than
5%, all LED lights will go off, but the display screen
will indicate that the e-bike is on.
After charging is complete, and all 5 LEDs on the
battery pack are illuminated, disconnect the charger
from the battery pack and wall socket.
Installation and removal of the rear rack battery
X
Step 1: In order to install the battery pack on
the frame properly, key (4) must be inserted
into lock (3); turn and hold the key in unlocked
position.
X
Step 2: Align the battery pack with the
mounting rail and slide the battery pack
forward until it is fully inserted. Turn the key
to the locked position.
Note:
Make sure that the battery is properly locked in place
prior to riding the bike. Pull backwards on the battery to
ensure it is properly locked.
After the battery is locked, make sure to remove the key
from the lock in order to prevent losing the key and to help
prevent theft of the battery pack.
