material to get jammed.
7.3 Fitting the blade guard (Fig. 7)
•
Place the blade guard (3) on the splitter (18)
which is mounted on the equipment.
•
Insert the hex. bolt (8) through the blade
guard and the splitter.
•
Tighten the lock knob (9) onto the hex. bolt.
7.4 Changing a worn diamond blade (Fig.
3,4,5,9,12)
To replace a worn blade, proceed as follows:
•
Remove the battery by pressing and holding
the pushlock button (25) while pulling the
battery (24) out of the battery mount (23) (Fig.
9).
•
Remove the water container cover (6) (Fig. 3).
•
If necessary, pull out the water drain plug (11)
to let the water out of the water container (Fig.
12).
•
Pull the blade safety guard (7) up and out
(Fig. 4).
•
Place the ring spanner (19) on the nut (a) and
use the counter holder (20) to block the motor
shaft (Fig. 5).
•
Use the ring spanner to unscrew the nut and
remove the outer flange (15).
•
Take out the worn blade (14) and clean the
blade outer flange thoroughly.
•
Place the new blade on the inner flange and
fit the outer flange back on the blade. Im-
portant! Check that the blade rotates in the
correct direction!
•
Block the motor shaft again with the counter
holder and screw the nut tight with the ring
spanner (Fig. 5).
•
Reinsert the blade safety guard and reinstall
the water container cover.
8. Operation
8.1 Filling the water container/draining the
water (Fig. 3,11,12)
•
Remove the water container cover (6) (Fig. 3).
•
Fill water into the water container (5) up to the
"MAX" mark (Fig. 11).
•
If needed, pull out the water drain plug (11) to
let the water out of the water container (Fig.
12).
Important! Keep a constant check on the
water level.

8.2 Inserting/removing the battery (Fig. 9)
•
Open the battery compartment cover (22)
and insert the battery (24) into the battery
mount (23).
•
Press and hold the push lock button (25) to
remove the battery again from the battery
mount.
8.3 On/Off switch (Fig. 1)
•
You can switch on the tile saw by flipping up
the switch (12).
•
To switch off the tile saw, you must flip down
the switch.
8.4 Even cut (Fig. 13)
•
Set the cutting width with the rip fence (2) and
secure it with the fastening clasps (10).
•
The width of the workpiece can be read off
the scale (16).
•
Fig. 13 shows the correct position for your
hands during the even cut. The feed rate
must not exceed the cutting capacity of the
blade. This is to make sure that no material
becomes detached, as this might cause
accidents or injuries.
8.5 Angle setting for miter cut (Fig. 14,15)
•
Position the water container cover (6) for a
45° miter cut in the top position (Fig. 14).
•
Position the water container cover for a 22.5°
miter cut in the bottom position (Fig. 15).
8.6 Miter cut (22.5°; 45°) (Fig. 14,15,16)
•
Fasten the water container cover (6) in the
required angle position (see section 8.5
"Angle setting for miter cut") (Fig. 14, 15).
•
Fasten the rip fence by means of the
fastening clasps (10) as shown in Fig. 16.
•
Place the tile with its glazed side on the water
container cover (Fig. 16).
•
Fig. 16 shows the correct position for your
hands during the miter cut. Your left hand
holds the workpiece in contact with the blade
while your right hand pushes the workpiece
forward. The feed rate must not exceed the
cutting capacity of the blade. This is to make
sure that no material becomes detached, as
this might cause accidents or injuries.
•
Carry out a trial cut with a spare tile so that
you can check the results of the cut.
Important! If the blade becomes jammed, switch
off the equipment and take out the battery; only
then are you to remove the workpiece.
