6.1. - DECOMPRESSION TABLES.
At the end of every dive, the computer continues to calculate
the safety curve data for the next dive. This is possible
because nitrogen absorption and elimination in "sample" tis-
sues, taken as reference, are constantly recorded by the dive
computer. Nitrogen absorption and elimination rate, referred
to as "tissue half-lives" - namely the time required to reach
50% saturation in any tissue - differs in each of these tissues.
The Archimede Cressi-sub dive computer uses 9 sample tis-
sues, on which the mathematical model is applied during all
dive phases, on surface and during the next dive.
