• The DKS devices are suitable for outdoor use (IP57).
• The DKS devices must be positioned in sight, away from moving parts and at a height of at least 1.5 m.
• Caution! In order to avoid a reduction in the transmission range of the DKS transponder device never install it directly on metal structures.
Installing the transponder reader DKSTPT (fig. 2)
• Once you have decided on the definitive position, unscrew the two holding screws "1" and separate the base "2". Pass the connecting cables
"3", coming from the interface, through the wall, drill two holes in the wall "3-4" and fix the fastening base to the wall using the two rawlplugs and
screws "5-6". Rotate the transponder reader "7" and connect the cable fastons "8" to the reader fastons "9". Rotate the transponder reader, hook it onto the
upper part of the base "10" and rotating it slightly allow it to snap onto the base "11", then fasten the reader using the two screws "12".
Installing the keypad DKS1000T (fig. 3)
• Pass the connecting cables,"1" coming from the interface, through the wall. Drill the wall at the distance indicated in figure 4a (58 mm). Insert the rawlplugs
"2"supplied with the kit. Fasten down the counter plate "3" sing the screws "4" supplied with the kit. Connect the Fastons on the wires "1" to the Fastons "5"
(fig, 3a-3b). Position the keypad (fig 3b-3c) and fasten it down to the counter plate using the special screw "S1" and the tool "K1".
Attention: To use the DKSTPT or DKS1000T in serial mode (either with CARHF or generic) they must receive 12Vdc power via the cables FS1 and FS3.
Wire the third cable FS2 to the serial input on the CARHF or to any compatible serial device.
Installing the keypad with transponder reader DKSDUALT (fig. 4)
• Once you have decided on the definitive position, unscrew the two holding screws "1" and separate the base "2". Drill the wall "3" fix the fastening base to the
wall using the two rawlplugs and screws "4-5", as shown in the drawing. Rotate the keypad "6" and remove the six cover fastening screws "7" .
• Remove the base of the keypad "8". Make a hole in the rubber gasket and pass the power/data cable through the hole "9", bend the wires slightly and fasten
them to the terminal block "10" respecting the polarity "11". Replace the keypad base "12" and fasten down using the previously removed screws "13".
• Rotate the keypad, hook it onto the upper part of the base "14" and rotating it slightly allow it to snap onto the base "15", then fasten it using the two holding
screws "1".
