Hardware Installation
1.
Turn off your PC and unplug the power cord.
2.
Open the housing.
3.
Remove the slot holder from the available PCI Express slot.
4.
Insert the card straight and carefully into the free PCI Express slot, until it is
well seated.
5.
Use a screw to attach the card to the housing.
6.
Optionally, you can connect LEDs to the pin header.
7.
Reattach the housing and connect the power cord to the AC adapter.
Driver Installation
1.
When the installation of the device is finished, the driver will be automatically
installed after you restart the computer.
2.
You can now start to use the device.
3.
When using Windows 7 you may need to install the driver from the included
CD.
LED connector
1.
There is a two pin LED connector (JP9) on the PCB. An LED can be
connected to this connector.
2.
Plug an optional cable to the JP10 connector of the PCI Express card and
connect it to the HDD LED port of your motherboard. Pay attention to plus
and minus.
RAID setting
Please note:
If you install and activate a Raid system, make sure you have a full back up of
your present data.
Setup a Raid set with two hard disks installed
Caution: all data in the hard disks will be lost in the following procedures
1.
Turn on the computer, the BIOS on the controller card is executed.
2.
Press Ctrl-R to enter into BIOS menu.
3.
Choose "Select Configure Controller" in the Main menu. Confirm with "enter".
4.
Choose "RAID0", "RAID1" or "SPAN" depending on your application.
5.
Now type "Y" to confirm or "N" to cancel and confirm the entry with "enter".
Then the configuration is started.
6.
After completion, the message "Mode Change is completed" appears.
7.
Press "Esc" to exit.
