To cut the splinter guard to size, proceed as follows:
1.
Place the rail onto a level support.
2.
Place the machine that is being worked with onto the guiding device.
3.
Set the cutting depth of the machine used to 3 mm and the angle scale to 0°.
4.
Turn on the machine and slide it evenly in cutting direction across the entire length of the guiding device.
5.
Turn off the machine.
The machined edge of the splinter guard now corresponds exactly to the rear cutting edge of the

saw blade.

Cleaning of spring guide
To clean the spring guide, proceed as follows:
1.
Pull the black plastic spring guide in direction of
the cut.
2.
Remove any wood chips in the groove and at
the stop plate.
