Make sure that the device is level to ensure proper functioning.
I condotti utilizzati per le canalizzazioni devono essere delle corrette dimensioni.
The ducts to and from the outdoors must be thermally insulated and not subject to
vibration.
The exhaust and supply piping, with nominal diameter equal to 125 mm, must be fixed
to the corresponding device points with clamps or other suitable fastening systems.
If air exhaust or inlet occurs from the roof, the use of a suitable device is required to
prevent the formation of condensate and the entry of rain water.
6.2 Condensate drain
During normal operation, condensate forms at the bottom of the device inside a double
tray which has two drains toward the outside. The connection points are set at the rear
bottom of the device. The condensate drain can be created by connecting two flexible
hoses, with an internal diameter equal to approximately 16 mm, to the drains.
Install both siphons (not supplied) to prevent the formation of air bubbles, Important
instructions:
• Winter operation: highly probable formation of condensate; connection of drain
piping with a siphon is mandatory. (fig.8 pos.A)
• Summer operation: probable formation of condensate; connection of drain piping is
recommended, with a siphon. (fig.8 pos.B)
Diagonally cut the end of the piping.
Note well: Set the siphon in compliance with the dimensions indicated in
fig.9; otherwise, regular operation of the appliance cannot be guaranteed.
Condensate can also be drained off through the waste plumbing system
of the building.
6.3 Accessibility
The device is easily accessible for any service/maintenance operations thanks to the
front door, (fig.10).
(Also see the paragraph on "Maintenance/cleaning").
6.4 Piping connection
The device fittings have a nominal diameter of 125 mm. Rigid or flexible pipes can be
connected to the device inlets.
ATTENTION: For passivhaus compliant systems, it will be necessary to install silencers
on all 4 air vents..
