Fine tuning your RS1
● The acoustics of every room is different,
and time spent tuning your RS1 so it blends
seamlessly with your system is important.
● When set correctly you should be unaware
that the bass is coming from your RS1, and
it should sound as though all the bass is
being produced by your system's speakers.
● Start by setting the crossover and volume
level controls to about halfway.
● Listen to a variety of music that you know
well and adjust your RS1 volume level so it
matches that of your system.
● Experiment with the crossover frequency,
volume level and phase switch until
you're happy with the bass.
● When tuning your RS1, it's important you
return to the same listening position to
judge the effect.
● Final tuning will be down to your own taste
and preference, but if you are aware that
the subwoofer is the source of the bass
then it's likely that the crossover frequency
is either set too high or the subwoofer
volume is too loud.
