3.Check the Igniters
Operation o f electric igniters shouldbechecked a fter
range andsupply lineconnectors h avebeen carefully
checked f or leaks andrange hasbeenconnected t o
electric power. T ocheck for proper lighting:
1.Push inandturna surface burner knobto theLITE
position. Y ouwill hearthe ignitersparking.
2. Thesurface burner should lightwhengasisavailable
to thetop burner. E ach burner s hould lightwithinfour
(4)seconds i n normal o peration afterair hasbeen
purged fromsupply lines. V isually c heck thatburner
haslit.
3.Once the burner l ights, t hecontrol k nobshould be
rotatedoutof theLITE position.
There areseparate i gnitiondevices f or eachburner. T ry
eachknobseparately untilallburner valves havebeen
checked.
4.Adjustthe ""LOW"" Settingof SurfaceBurner

3.If burner goes out,readjust valve as follows:
Reset control toOFF. Remove thesurface burner control
knob, i nsert athin-bladed screw driver i ntothehollow valve
stem andengage t heslotted screw inside. Flame s ize canbe
increased ordecreased
withtheturnofthescrew. Adjust
flame until y oucanquickly turnknob fromLITE t o LOWEST
POSITION
without e xtinguishing
theflame. Flame should be
assmall aspossible without g oing out.
5. Operation of OvenElements
The ovenisequipped w ithanelectronic o ven control. E ach
ofthefunctions h asbeen factory checked b efore shipping.
However, it issuggested thatyouverify theoperation o f
theelectronic ovencontrols o ncemore. R efer t othe
Electronic Oven Control G uide foroperation. Follow the
instructions fortheClock, T imer, B ake, Broil, C onvection
(some models) andClean functions.
Bake-After setting theovento 350°F (177°C) for baking,
the lowerelement i ntheovenshouldbecome red.
Broil-Whentheovenissetto BROIL, the upperelement
in theovenshouldbecome r ed.
Clean-When t he ovenissetfor a self-cleaning cycle, t he
upperelement should become redduringthe preheat
portionof thecycle. A fterreaching theself-cleaning
temperature, the lowerelement will become red.
Convection (somemodels)-When t he ovenissetto
CONV. BAKE/ROAST
at 350°F (177°C), the convection
element cycles onandoff andtheconvection f anturns.
Theconvection f anwillstopturningwhentheovendoor
isopened duringconvection b aking or roasting.
WarmerDrawer(somemodels)-Set thecontrol k nob
to HIandcheck to seethe drawer isheating.
When All Hookups
are Complete
Make sure all controls are left on the OFF position.
Make sure the flow of combustion anf ventilation air to the
range is unobstructed.

Number
Location
The serial plate is located on the oven front frame
behind the oven door (some models or on the drawer
side frame (some models).
When ordering parts for or making inquiries about your
range, always be sure to include the model and serial
numbers and a lot number or letter from the serial plate
on your range.
Your serial plate also tells you the rating of the burners,
the type of fuel and the pressure the range was adjusted
for when it left the factory.
