DESCRIPTION
•
DPR MASTER - Digital Pressure Regulator -
DPR master is made up of 2 communicated DPR units for
automatic control and protection of 2 electric pumps up to
2,2 kW (3 HP), multi-voltage (110-230 V) and equipped with
an innovative outlet pressure reducing/regulating system.
These 2 pumps will operate in duty-assist operation mode.
Each pump is managed and protected by a unit DPR, opera-
ting in cascade and with alternated starting sequence. This
means that first pump to start will change in each operation
cycle, the second pump will start, only, if the first pump can-
not afford the flow demand.
DPR master includes all the same features of an standard
DPR.

*ART FUNCTION (Automatic Reset Test)
When the device has stopped the pump by the interven-
tion of the dry-running protection system the ART tries,
after 5 minutes, to re-start the pump in order to restore the
water supply.
After this first attempt are performed consecutive attempts
every 30 minutes.
In the DPR, this function can be activated in the ADVAN-
CED MENU. It can also be set the number of attempts (1-
48) and the span of the attempt (10-40 seconds).
DPR MASTER
**APR FUNCTION (Anti-blocking Periodic Routine)
After 72 hours without operation the pump is automatically
started for 10 seconds in order to avoid rotor locking. In the
DPR MASTER the display will show the message "APr" while
the pump is operating.

IN: Connection for programmable input as level switch or
external activation to guarantee a minimum of water in the
suction tank or to enable and disable the pump operation
remotely.
OUT: Volt-free contact for monitoring of alarms displayed
on the screen caused by irregularities or problems in the
system.
****MASTER
Communication port to connect 2 DPR for MASTER -
SLAVE operation. When the pressure decreases under
the cut-in pressure set in both DPR units, one DPR starts
the first pump. If the pressure continues decreasing up to
0.2 bar less than the cut-in pressure, the other DPR starts
the second pump. At the moment that the system of two
DPR detects that a single pump is enough to maintain the
pressure higher than the cut-in pressure, the second pump
is stopped.

HIDRAULIC INSTALLATION (diagram A)
Before proceeding with hydraulic connection it is
essential to prime the pump correctly. DPR MASTER
must be installed in a vertical position (arrows in upward
position), thus connecting the inlet opening directly to the
pump outlet; and the outlet to a manifold that goes to
the network. The suction of the pumps must be common.
The following accessories are recommended: flexible with
a disassembling link for network protection, protecting the
set from possible flexion charges and vibrations, ball valve
which permits the isolation of the pump from the net, a tap
at the same level of the unit. See diagram A.
CLASSIFICATION AND TYPE
According to IEC 60730-1 and EN 60730-1 this unit is a
control sensor device, electronic, independent assembly,
with action type 1B (microdisconnection). Operating value: I
<20% I learned. Pollution degree 2 (clean environment) or
flow>2,5 l/min. Rated impulse voltage: cat II / 2500V. Tem-
peratures for ball test: enclousure (75) and PCB (125).
