3. Using the Unit in Automatic Mode
IMPORTANT: If the unit's position changes after it has self-leveled,
verify the unit's position (for example, height) to the potentially
changed conditions.
1.
Slide the locking compensator/power
switch to the left to the unlocked
(ON)
position to power on the
unit. The level indicator and power
indicator will light up. (Figure 12)
a. Level Indicator
– Green (steady) = Power on,
Self-leveling mode
– Red (flashing) = Out of level
indicator
b. Battery Indicator
– Green (steady) = > 30% power
– Red (steady) = < 30% but > 15%
– Red (flashing) = < 15%
– Extinguished LED = Power off or battery at 0%
NOTE: The unit must be within ±4° of level for the self-leveling
feature to function properly. If the unit is beyond its 4° self-leveling
range, the laser will not self-level, the laser will flash, and the level
indicator status light will flash red. Once the unit has been adjusted
to within its 4° self-leveling range, the laser will self-level, the status
light will turn green, and the laser light will stop flashing and remain
solid.
