3. Remove battery case from the unit.

4. If replacing alkaline batteries, slide
the cover off the battery case and
insert three "AA" alkaline batteries
into the case according to the polarity
illustrated inside. (Figure 6)
5. Reinstall the cover and reinsert the
battery case into the unit. Be sure the
end with the openings is inserted first.
