Regulatory instructions
• The barbecue must be installed on a stable, horizontal surface
before use.
• To light the fire, place appropriate firelighters at the bottom
of the charcoal holder and add the charcoal to the barbecue,
taking care not to exceed the maximum capacity indicated for
the barbecue.
• Form a pyramid to light the barbecue and when enough red
embers have been obtained, distribute the charcoal in the bowl
to allow for an even cooking.
• We recommend using a long match or long lighter to light the
barbecue.
• The barbecue must be heated and the fuel kept glowing for
at least 30 minutes before starting to cook any food.
• Do not cook before the fuel has a coating of ash.
• The barbecue will be hot! When using the barbecue, use heat-
resistant gloves, long-handled tongs or potholders.
• WARNING: Once you have finished cooking, ensure that the
charcoal has been fully extinguished to prevent the risk of
fire. Make sure that the bowl's contents are cool enough to be
disposed of.
• Position the product so that it is at least 1 metre away from
easily flammable materials.
• Only light charcoal in an area sheltered from the wind; otherwise,
the wind could cause sparks which could in turn, lead to burns
or a fire being started in the surrounding area.
• For safety reasons, never spray or pour cold water on the
barbecue. The resulting steam is very likely to cause burns.
Avoid all fire risks!
• The charcoal barbecue (EN 1860-1) may only be fuelled with
charcoal or charcoal briquettes in accordance with EN 1860-2.
Please observe the maximum quantity specified in the operating
instructions.
• Pay attention to your surroundings and be aware of any potential
fire hazards when using the barbecue. Avoid using the barbecue
during very dry periods of the year or near trees or other
flammable natural materials.
