SAFETY
- This UPS uses voltages that can be dangerous. Do not attempt to disas-
semble the unit. The unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Only factory
service personnel can perform repairs.
- The internal voltage of the batteries is 12VDC each. Sealed lead-acid bat-
teries with 6 cells.
- Connecting to a different type of outlet other than a grounded three-wire,
two-pole outlet may result in electrical shock and violate local electrical
codes.
- In case of an emergency, press the OFF button and disconnect the AC
power cord from the power source to properly deactivate the UPS.
- Do not allow liquids or foreign objects to enter the UPS. Do not place drinks
or containers containing liquids on or near the unit.
- This unit is intended for installation in a controlled environment (contro-
lled temperature, indoor area free from conductive contaminants). Avoid
installing the UPS in places with stagnant or flowing water, or excessive
humidity.
- Do not plug the UPS input into its own output.
- Do not connect a power strip or surge protector to the UPS.
- Do not connect non-computer-related devices such as medical equipment,
life support equipment, microwave ovens, or vacuum cleaners to the UPS.
- To reduce the risk of UPS overheating, do not block the cooling vents and
avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight or installing it near heat-emitting
