6.2 SAFETY CHECKS
Run the following safety checks and
check that the results correspond to
those outlined on the tables.
Always carry out the safety
checks before use.
6.2.1 General check
If any of the results fail to match
the instructions provided in the tables
below, do not use the machine! Take
it to a service centre to be checked
and repaired if necessary.

6.2.2 Machine operating test

6.3 START-UP
6.3.1 Start-up with battery
1. Remove the blade guard (Fig. 1.H) (if in use);
2. make sure the blade is not touching
the ground or any other object;
3. insert the battery correctly into its
housing (par. 12.B) (par. 7.2.3
4. press the safety button
5. Activate the throttle lock lever (Fig. 8.B-M)
and the throttle trigger lever (Fig. 8.A).
6.3.2 Start-up with battery
simulator (if provided)
1. Adopt a firm and well balanced position;
2. remove the blade guard
(Fig. 1.H) (if in use);
3. make sure the blade is not touching
the ground or any other object;
4. insert the battery simulator correctly into
its housing on the machine (Fig.12.J).
5. connect the connection cable to
the battery simulator (Fig.12.I)
6. select the battery to be operated
using the selector switch (Fig. 7.B)
7. press the safety button (Fig. 8.A)
8. Activate the throttle lock lever (Fig. 8.B-M)
and the throttle trigger lever. Fig. 8.A).
6.4 WORKING
Before you start cutting and trimming bushes
and hedges for the first time, it is advisable:
– to have been specifically trained
to use this type of equipment;
– to wear the harness correctly;
– to have carefully read the safety
regulations and user instructions
contained in this manual;
– to practise in order to get familiar
with the machine and the most
suitable cutting techniques.
To use the machine proceed as follows:
• always keep the machine connected to the
correctly worn harness when working (see
paragraph 6.1.3)
• The machine must always be firmly held in
both hands with the left hand on the front
hand grip and the right hand on the rear hand
grip, even if the operator is left-handed

hold material to be cut when blades
