Explanation
When the oven is working, air circulates within the cavity.
The door does not form an airtight seal so air may escape from the door.
The oven cavity will normally be colder than the food being cooked, and so steam
produced when cooking will condense on the colder surface.
The amount of steam produced depends on the water content of the food being
cooked. Some foods, such as potatoes have a high moisture content.
Condensation trapped in the door glass should clear after a few hours.
Arcing will occur when a metallic object comes into close proximity to the oven
cavity during cooking. This may possibly roughen the surface of the cavity, but
would not otherwise damage the oven.
Ensure all "eyes" are removed from the potatoes and that they have been pierced,
place directly onto the turntable in a heat resistant an dish or similar.
Check the door is closed properly.
Ensure correct power level has been selected.
The microwave energy pulses ON and OFF during cooking/defrosting.
The cabinet may become warm to the touch - keep children away.
This is because the grill element turns on and o to maintain the oven
temperature at a preset level.
During the combination cooking mode (microwave and grill), the oven will switch
between the two functions. The microwave and grill functions will not be turned
on at the same time.
The oven cavity temperature will be maintained at +/- 10% of the set level.
Temperature is measured in the dead centre of the oven with a calibrated
temperature measuring device using a K-type thermocouple.
At the end of the cooking cycle the fan may stay on for several minutes to cool
down the oven. This is normal.
After cooking has ended and the door is not opened, a bleep will be heard every
30 seconds. To stop this open and then close the door.
If the buttons on the control panel are pressed continuously for more than 1
minute this will happen. unplug the oven from the mains supply for a few minutes
and reconnect.
After 30 seconds the oven will enter the lock mode where all the buttons can not
be pressed. Open and close the door and the buttons will work again.
Also check that the unit is not in the lock mode.
