4. INSTALLATION
After taking out the microscope of the packing and remo-
ve the protections, open the lock and take out the inner pac-
king of the wooden box, check that the sign ^UP points up
before opening it.
Put the microscope stand on a steady table carefully
(never hold it by the mechanical stage), keeping it apart from
humidity, heat, dust and vibrations. It is advisable to put it on
a felt, rubber rug or filter paper in order to make sure of its
stability and avoid that it slides.
The observant should be in a comfortable position, well sit down and with the back in a
straight way. It is advisable to work on a dark table in order to avoid the light that dazzles
and reduces the good definition of the images. Pay attention to the light of the enviroment,
install the microscope far from the windows.
Take down the mechanical stage by means of the macro focusing controls. After taking
out the protective caps, screw the objectives into the nosepiece from low magnifying power
to higher magnifying power (4x-10x-40x-100x) in clockwise direction (picture 1).
IMPORTANT: Never hold the microscope by the mechanical stage or the tube, since in
this way all the weight is supported by the micrometric screw
whose notches are worn out slowly.
Mount the head adjusting it with the screw that is incor-
porated. Insert the eyepieces (10x,16x) (Pic. 2). The binocular
tube is normally located in the direction of the microscope
front, but it can be turned to any other direction, if necessary.
These microscopes have a Schuko plug. This plug must be
connected to a plugging device connected to ground. The
grounded device must be at hand to be able to disconnect the
plug quickly in case of emergency.
Neither the manufacturer nor the supplier will assume any responsability for the damages
caused to the microscope or for any other damage suffered by any person due to the neglect of
the right process of electric connection. The alternating voltage must be 220-230 v, 50 Hz.
Use always the microscope dust cover when it is out of use in order to avoid that the dust
settles on the optical parts.
Keep the accesories box.
