O-Rings
Write the date
on the label.
4. Install or Replace the Cartridge
Turn on the water supply.
Write the installation date on the new filter cartridge label.
Remove and discard the cap from the cartridge.
Inspect the cartridge for damage.
Verify both O-rings are present, and are positioned correctly in
the grooves.
Moisten the O-rings with water. Do not use petroleum products
to lubricate the O-rings.
Align the groove in the top of the cartridge with the word "OFF"
on the filter head.
Insert the cartridge neck into the filter head, and fully rotate the
cartridge 90° to the right-hand position to turn on the water
supply within the filtration system.
Insert the top of the cartridge into the filter head and turn the
cartridge counterclockwise 90° until handtightened.
Check all connections for leaks.
To replace the cartridge: Firmly grasp the filter cartridge, and slowly
turn the cartridge 90° clockwise until the groove in the cartridge lines
up with the word "OFF" on the filter head. The system will
automatically shut off the water supply when the cartridge is fully
rotated to the left-hand position.
