INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
When the heat gun is overloaded (e.g. due to restrictions of the air flow in or out of it),
the thermal part will get overheated. This will cause the resistor to be automatically turned
off, while the air flow will keep coming out. When the temperature of the resistor drops,
the heat gun will be automatically turned on.
In this case, check the air passage and the state of the heat gun, to prevent continuous
overloading.
STEP I MODE
When switch (5) is set on I, 50 °C is the only temperature that can be selected; whereas the air flow can
be set between 250 and 500 L/min.
To increase the air flow, press button (12); to decrease the air flow, press button (13).
STEP II MODE
When the switch is set on II, the heat gun can be operated either in free mode or with saved parame-
ters. The free mode is indicated by the absence of symbols (C) and (D) on the display, and allows the
required temperature to be selected within the range +50 °C to +650 °C, with 10 °C increases, and the
air flow to be set between 250 and 500 L/min. Alternatively, up to 4 different temperature and air flow
combinations can be saved. These values are shown on the display by indicator (C).
To increase the temperature, press button 11; to decrease the temperature, press button 10.
To switch from the free mode to operation with the saved parameters, press button 9 (
Saving parameters
Save the work parameters as follows:
- Press button 9 (
to 4 on the top of the LCD display.
- Set the required temperature and air flow parameters.
- Press button 8 (
the parameters will then be saved in the position indicated by (C).
During operation in the memory mode, the parameters can be changed; however, if they are not saved,
they will not remain in the memory when the heat gun is turned on the next time.
MAINTENANCE
Repair and calibration jobs must be carried out by trained personnel only. For such jobs, you can con-
tact Beta Utensili S.P.A.'s repair centre.
