Overview
The X-RTK radio module is only capable of receiving radio signals; the RTK radio module works in conjunction with
Trimble® base stations and, if compatible, other industry standard base stations.
NOTICE: The X-RTK radio module and the RTK base stations must be tuned to the same frequency for proper com-
munication.
To minimize interference with the X-RTK radio antenna:
1. Position the antenna away from other electrical devices, such as other radio antennas and flashing lights.
2. Make sure that the X-RTK radio and the RTK base station are tuned to the same frequency.
3. Avoid the use of RTK correction signals when operating in close proximity to powerful radio transmitters, such as
those used in the telecommunication industry. Strong radio transmissions will not damage the RTK radio module,
but will temporarily affect the function.
4. Avoid tuning other radio transmitters, such as UHF band two-way radios, to the same frequency as that of the
receiving X-RTK module.
NOTICE: Installation of the GNSS receiver, the X-RTK radio module, and the radio antenna will make the vehicle
taller. Do not allow the radio antenna rod or mast to contact obstacles such as shed doorways, tree limbs, or power
lines; likewise, do not allow the radio antenna to bend to clear the obstacle. Damage to the radio antenna will result.
NOTICE: It is not recommended to remove the antenna mast, which will leave the antenna mount exposed to the
weather. Corrosion in the antenna mount can cause performance issues.
