6. Operation of cooktop technology by
induction
• To use your induction cooktop correctly, it is
necessary that the base of the pans contain
ferromagnetic materials, that is, they must be
stainless steel or triple-bottomed. That's because
the operation of the induction cooktop is based
on the generation of an electromagnetic field,
generated between the electric coil located below
the glass ceramic surface with the base of the pan.
In this way, the pan heats up almost immediately,
transmitting this heat to the food that is heated with
is heated quickly and with almost zero waste of heat,
as the glass ceramic surface will only heat up in the
region covered by the base of the pan.
• When using glass, aluminum, ceramic or copper
cookware, which at its base do not contain
ferromagnetic materials, the induction cooktop will
not work.
ATTENTION!
• The pans used in the induction cooktop must have a flat bottom, so that they are in
contact with contact with the entire heating area.
• Use a magnet to check that the pan is suitable for the induction cooktop. If the magnet
stick to the base of the pan, it is suitable for this type of appliance.
7. Operation of the sensor technology
temperature
• The temperature sensor, located in the center of the heating area (figure 5), has the
functionality of measure the temperature in the pan and infer the temperature of the
food located inside the pan. From the information obtained by this sensor, the cooktop
automatically controls the cooking to reach the temperature selected by the user. Thus, it
is not possible to control manually the power of the product, only the temperature, as the
cooktop automatically selects cooking power based on
temperature selected.
• During Recipe Mode, the cooktop receives information
from the Tramontina Guru app and controls its cooking
power to reach the desired result.
• If the user opts for a manual control of the product
(Manual Mode and Remote Control Mode), it is your
responsibility to select the correct temperature for the
desired cooking.
• Do not use cast iron pots on the cooktop, as may
compromise the performance of the temperature.
