Operating instructions
WARNING!
Before performing any work on the electric
power tool, pull out the mains plug.
Before switching on the power
tool
Unpack the heat gun and check that here are
no missing or damaged parts.
Creation of Smoke During Initial Use.
A coating protects the metal surfaces from
corrosion exworks. This protective layer
evaporates during initial use.
Installing/removing a nozzle
attachment (see figure B)
WARNING!
Make sure the nozzle always points away
from you and any bystanders.
■ To install, slide the nozzle attachment onto
the heat gun nozzle (1) and twist it into
place.
■ To remove, allow tool to cool to room
temperature, then twist and pull the nozzle
attachment away from tool.
Installing/removing the heat
shield (see figure C & D)
WARNING!
Nozzle is hot! Working without the heat
shield increases the risk of burns.
When working in particularly narrow spaces,
you can remove the heat shield (2).
To install, align the protrusion (c-1) in the heat
shield (2) with the groove (c-2) on the heat
gun and push inwards (1.) and turn the shield
clockwise (2.).
To remove, turn the heat shield (2)
anticlockwise and remove it.
WARNING!
To remove or install the heat shield, switch
the heat gun off and let it cool down.
Switching on/off (see figure E)
■ Switching on
Slide the on/off switch (6) upwards.
Thermal protection regulation: Upon
overheating (e.g. due to an air blockage or
14
not enough air being supplied), the heat
gun switches off the heating automatically.
The blower, however, will continue to run. If
the heat gun has cooled down to operating
temperature, the heating is automatically
switched on again.
■ Switching off
Slide the on/off switch (6) downwards into
the O position.
NOTE
After a sustained period of work at a high
temperature, let the heat gun cool down
before switching off. To do this, allow it to run
on the lowest temperature setting for a short
while.
Regulating airflow and
temperature(see figure F)
With the on/off switch(6), you can set the
airflow to one of several different levels:

stage 3
NOTE
If excessive heating is not allowed around
the workpiece or lighter workpieces may
be blown away by air flow, please reduce
the air flow.
In the work stage 1, the temperature is
set at 50 °C. In work stages 2 and 3, the
temperature can be regulated.
Upon switching from the 1 stage to one of the
work stages, the temperature set there most
recently is recalled.
The set temperature is shown in the display
(4).
