3.6 Repair (small leaks)
The repair kit contains repair material and a valve wrench. Please note that the glue is not included.
Should you want to repair the product, we recommend using PVC glue for dinghies.
1.
Cut the repair material to 5 cm beyond all edges of the crack. Be sure to round the corners of the
repair material to prevent flaking off.
2. Draw the outline of the repair material on the damaged surface with a pencil.
3.
Clean the surface with a damp cloth and dry it well.
4. Apply adhesive to the repair material and product.
5. Carefully align the repair material before applying it. Once the repair material is on the product,
you cannot move it.
6.
Carefully place the repair material on the product to prevent air from getting under the repair
material.
7.
Smooth the edge of the valve wrench over the surface of the repair material to ensure that the
repair material adheres securely.
8. Allow the adhesive to dry completely. Do not pump the product before then.
3.7 Paddling instructions
The following are some general steps to begin paddling:
1.
For the most comfortable start, pick a location with flat water without too much wind, current or
tidal movement.
2. Push up into the water until the fins no longer touch the bottom. Usually this is when the water is
about up to your knees.
3.
Kneel on the product. Hold the paddle in the middle with the blade angled back. Make two small
strokes, switch sides of the paddle and make two more strokes.
4. When you feel comfortable enough, try standing. Place one foot on each side of the center of the
product, shoulder-width apart. If standing up makes you nervous, you can bend your knees and
try again.
5. After standing up, relax your knees and tighten your abdominal muscles for balance.
6.
Pull your upper arm toward your body to extend the paddle forward. Insert the paddle as far
forward into the water as possible. Lift the paddle out of the water by turning inward as soon as
the paddle aligns with your body.
7.
Keep paddling on one side without changing to make a wide turn. To make a narrow turn, place
your paddle near the tail of the product and pull forward while turning your torso toward the
desired direction.
