Connect the controller to the amplifier. Fig. 20
Connect the lights to the light harness if equipped.
Connec the speaker harness to the speakers. Fig. 21
Note: Trim wire tie ends. Make certain there are no loose ends of wire ties or wires
that can contact the plastic housing or the tailgate in order to prevent buzzes or
rattles from vibration.
Reconnect the negative battery cable.
Install speaker baffle over step hinges and install the six supplied Torx-head bolts – leave loose.
Test function of speaker system. Refer to Bluetooth Controller Manual.
Note: Inner tailgate must be in the fully down
position for the speaker system to
operate.
Note: With the outer gate up and the inner
gate down (as pictured in Fig. 22) the
system will be functional. To avoid
unintended Bluetooth connections
and excessive battery drain, the
system must be powered off manually
by holding the power button down for
two seconds.
