Troubleshooting
WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury, unplug the steam
iron from the mains power supply before troubleshooting.
Problem
The steam iron will
not heat up.
No steam is being
emitted from the
steam iron.
Excess water is
dripping from the
ceramic soleplate.
The hose makes a
buzzing noise.
Possible Cause
• T h e i ro n i s n o t
connected to the
mains power supply.
• The temperature is
set too low.
• The fuse has blown.
• There is insufficient
water in the water
tank.
• The pump is drawing
water from the water
tank.
• There is condensation
inside the ceramic
soleplate.
• The hose is tangled.
• The iron is in a
position much too
higher than the base
unit. Water from the
base unit reaches
the iron through the
hose. Therefore, the
hose will make a
buzzing noise.

Possible Solution
• Plug the iron to the mains power supply
and set the desired temperature using
the temperature control dial.
• Increase the temperature using the
temperature control dial, and ensure
that the fabric's care instructions are
followed.
• Replace the fuse by a professional
person.
• Fill the water tank by following the
instructions in the "Filling the water
tank" section.
• Press and hold the steam button for a
while to allow the water pumping into
the iron. This should take approximately
1 minute.
• Allow the iron to heat up to the selected
temperature before using it on any
item.
• Untangle the hose.
• Ensure the iron is used in a position
above the base unit but not too high.
