11 Working with the Cultivator
Switching the PTO drive on
WARNING
■ The engine is running if the PTO drive is in
use. If a gear is engaged, the tiller may inad‐
vertently start moving. This may result in seri‐
ous injury to people or the tiller running them
over.
► Do not press the clutch lever for reverse
gear.
► Do not engage gears 1 and 2.
► Start the engine.
► Set the gear lever to position 0/R.
► Unlock, press and hold the clutch lever for
self-propulsion.
► Adjust the engine speed using the throttle
lever.
The PTO rotates at the set speed.
Switching the PTO drive off
► Release the clutch lever for self-propulsion.
► If the PTO drive is no longer needed:
► Stop the engine.
► Attach the cover.
11.4
Switching the Headlamp On
and Off
► Press switch (1) on light switch (2).
The headlamp comes on.
► Press switch (3) on light switch (2).
The headlamp is switched off.

Holding and Guiding the Tiller
► Hold the tiller with both hands on handles (1)
so the thumbs enclose the handles.

Loosening Firm Soil or Working
Soil Additives into Loose Soil
► Remove the front wheel.
► Start the engine.
► Guide the tiller forwards and regulate the
working speed and working depth using the
blade spur.
► Move forwards slowly and in a controlled man‐
ner.
► If the hoes become blocked:
► Engage gear 0/R.
► Guide the tiller backwards slowly until the
hoes free themselves.
► Set the gear.
► Move forwards slowly and in a controlled
manner.

Tilling Loose Soil
► Remove the front wheel.
► Start the engine.
► Guide the tiller forwards and regulate the
working speed and working depth using the
blade spur.
► Move forwards slowly and in a controlled man‐
ner.

Making Furrows
► Remove the front wheel.
► Start the engine.
