Check whether the Basic Measuring Device is switched on.
Trouble
Air bubbles in viscometer
Excessive pumping of
measuring medium into the
thermostat bath or into the
safety bottle:
ViscoPump III blinks
(twice, continuously) and
the sample in the viscometer
is not pumped

Is the filling quantity sufficient?
Check, fill viscometer if required.
Is the viscometer of properly connected?
- in the case of pressing mode, please checked whether the filling
tube is connected; if necessary connect properly.
- for operation in suction mode, please check whether the
capillary tube is connected; if necessary, connect properly.
please check whether the venting port is tightly connected; if
necessary re-tighten its screwed connection.
Is the viscometer properly connected?
- for operation in pressing/suction mode?
When using AVS measuring tripods
Check the electrical connections between the measuring tripod and the module of
the visco pump.
- Correct: the green LED on the measuring tripod is illuminated.
When using TC viskometers:
Is the viscometer properly connected?
Check the electrical connections between the measuring tripod
and the module of the visco pump.
- Correct: the green LED on the measuring tripod is illuminated.
Attention
With a simultaneous use of ViscoPump III (VP III) and the precursor
devices ViscoPump (VZ 7001/ VZ 7002,VP I) and ViscoPump II (VZ 8511/
VZ 8512, VP II) at a viscosity measurement system with several
measurement positions (AVS
observed for the installation:
The VP III must be used on measurement positions following the
VP I /VP II.
Correspondingly, the VP III must be installed in the inserts to the right
of the precursor devices!
Transfer errors will occur in the RS communication with a wrong
sequence of the ViscoPump modules!
(With all further connected devices with serial communication (e.g. burettes
for rinsing the viscosity meters) the following must be adjusted as
communication parameter:
