1. Before starting, check whether there are small stones in the brushes
and remove them if necessary.
Small stones could scratch the surface.
2. If necessary, connect the multi-cleaner to the water supply (as described
in 2.4 Connecting the multi-cleaner to the water supply).

use on some sample material or in an inconspicuous location.

You can adjust the water flow in 3 steps.

3.7 Adjusting the brush rotation speed [Fig. O7]
You can adjust the rotation speed of the brush continuously from min to max.
v Turn the power regulator

4 . MAINTENANCE
CAUTION!
Water damage!
Water damage due to unintentional starting.
v Disconnect the water supply.
v Remove the battery before servicing the product.
4.1 Cleaning the multi-cleaner [Fig. M1]
DANGER!
Personal injury!
Risk of injury and risk of damage to the product.
v Do not clean the product with water or a water jet (especially a
high-pressure water jet).
v Do not clean with chemicals, including petrol or solvents. Some may
destroy important plastic parts.
The ventilation slots must always be clean.
1. Clean the multi-cleaner with a damp cloth (do not immerse the brush
unit or clean it under running water).
2. Clean the ventilation slots

with a soft brush (do not use a
screwdriver).
3. Clean all moving parts after each use.
4.2 Cleaning the brushes
1. Remove the brushes from the brush unit (see 6.1 Replacing the
brushes).
2. Clean the brushes under running water. Remove particularly small
stones and dirt residues from the brushes.
3. For the roller brush only: Clean the brushes
4. Fit the brushes in the brush unit (see 6.1 Replacing the brushes).
4.3 Cleaning the battery and battery charger
The surface and contacts of the battery and the battery charger must be
clean and dry before connecting the battery to the charger.

4.3.1 Cleaning the battery
Do not use any chemical substances to clean the battery.
v Occasionally clean the ventilation slots and the contacts of the battery
with a soft, clean and dry brush.
4.3.2 Cleaning the battery charger
v Clean the contacts and the plastic parts with a soft, dry cloth.
5 . STORAGE
5.1 Decommissioning

The product must be stored out of reach of children.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Charge the battery without the battery protective cover
(see 3.1 Charging the battery).
3. Clean the multi-cleaner, the battery and the battery charger
(see 4. MAINTENANCE).
4. Store the multi-cleaner, battery and battery charger in a dry, enclosed
place where they are protected from frost.
5. Do not store the multi-cleaner supported on the brush.
This prevents deformation of the brush.
6 . TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION!
Water damage due to unintentional starting.
v Disconnect the water supply.
v Remove the battery before troubleshooting the product.
6.1 Replacing the brushes
The GARDENA spare parts are available from your GARDENA dealer
or from GARDENA Service.
Only the following 3 GARDENA brushes may be used:
• GARDENA Roller Brush Universal Art. 14848: For cleaning wooden
surfaces. Ideal for decking boards and decks made of wood, soft and
hardwood sections, WPC and BPC. Not suitable for sealed surfaces.
• Gardena Roller Brush Medium Art. 14849: For powerful cleaning.
Ideal for coarse dirt such as moss and green growth. Suitable for stone
surfaces (smooth paving stones, tiles and concrete blocks). Not suita-
ble for sealed surfaces.
• GARDENA Disc Brush Soft Art. 14847: For gentle cleaning. Ideal for
light cleaning work on surfaces. Ideal for cleaning hard-to-reach areas,
corners and edges, steps and plinths.
6.1.1 Replacing the roller brush [Fig. T1]
If the housing of the cordless multi-cleaner touches the ground while
cleaning the ground due to wear, the brush must be replaced.
There are 2 GARDENA roller brushes available:
v Only use an original GARDENA Roller Brush.
