➤ Push the camera guard (8 3, page 5) over the camera in such a way
that the central drill hole slides over both screw heads and the slots are
aligned with those of the camera bracket.
You can now see the two threaded drill holes for securing the camera
guard and the camera bracket.
➤ Secure the camera guard with the four M3 x 8 mm screws in the slots
(see g, page 7).
The six screws are only tightened when you have aligned the
camera (see "Checking the function and setting the camera"
chapter on page 36).
To do this you must first install and connect a monitor
(see principle circuit diagram i, page 7).

Connecting the camera

Lay the camera cable so that should you need to remove the
camera, you can access the plug connection between the
camera and the extension cable easily. This considerably
eases dismantling work.
➤ Guide the camera cable into the vehicle interior.
➤ Insert the plug of the camera cable into the socket of the extension cable
(see 0 A, page 5).
Tip!
To minimise corrosion in the plug, apply a small amount of grease
– such as pin grease – inside the plug.
Caution!
The plug connections of the extension cable do not offer any
protection against water penetration. It is essential that you wrap
the connection with the sealing tape supplied (see 0 B, page 5).
Note!
Additional extension cables are available on request
(see "Accessories" chapter on page 28).
