Installation
The internal power supply of a central unit can only generate limited
electrical power via the system bus. The power requirements of all
installed slaves can be determined as a busload as follows: The
maxim system bus length is derived from the voltage drop across the
cables used.

for each 4 ... 20 mA loop connected which is supplied by the
VarioGard system bus
(i.e. maximum of 2 + 4 x 1.5 = 8 busloads)
The total of all the busloads must not exceed 32 without an additional
power supply. The maximum total cable lengths, depending on the
total planned busloads, are shown below:
