Basic hedge trimming operation
NOTE
 This product is designed to cut shrubs and hedges with branches no larger than 15 mm in diameter.
Before operation a complete check of the unit must be performed;
 Check unit for loose/missing nuts, bolts and screws. Tighten and/or replace as needed.
 Never adjust blades when the unit is operating.
 Check that the blade assembly is firmly attached and in safe operating condition. Dull, loose or damaged blades should not
be used.
 Make sure that the rear handle is fully locked into position.

Hedge and shrub trimming operation
This model is equipped with a twistable rear handle feature that
can be turned 45° or 90° to either side of the normal operating po-
sition to help reduce operator fatigue and improve precision trim-
ming during vertical cutting operations.
 Do not operate the cutting blade when you adjust the
handle.
 Failure to observe these instructions will cause the product
to be held unsteadily and could result in serious injury.
To operate:
1.
Fully release the throttle trigger.
2.
Lift up the twist handle release lever.
3.
Rotate the handle 45° or 90° in the desired direction and re-
lease the lever. Make sure that the handle is fully locked into
position before use.
NOTE
The trigger switch will not operate when the rear handle is not
fully locked into position.
 Pulling the trigger switch will cause the cutter blades to start
moving. Adjust the operating speed depending on, for exam-
ple, the amount of the hedges to be cut.
