Setting Up Oatcastle 250
Connecting and powering on the unit
AC Power (Mains Power)
Using the power cord provided, plug one end into the back of the unit (Ref.5) and
plug the other end into a mains socket.
Using the 'Switch' button (Ref.3) on the back of the unit, change the CD250 Mode to
CD/BT or FM to power on the unit. To switch the unit off, set the 'Switch' button
(Ref.3) into the mid-position indicated as 'OFF'.
DC Power (Battery Power)
Using batteries, the Oakcastle CD250 can be used as a portable device. Before
inserting the batteries (not included), please ensure that the unit is switched off and
unplugged from the mains power supply. Open the battery compartment (Ref.2) and
check the polarities of '+' and '-', making sure you will correctly position the batteries
as indicated. Insert 6 X 1.5V batteries size C (not included). Close the battery
compartment and turn on the unit using the 'Switch' button (Ref.3).
Batteries precautions! ⚠
If the radio is not used for an extended time period, remove the batteries to prevent
damage due to possible battery leakage.
Do not try to recharge batteries as they can overheat and rupture.
Follow all battery manufacturer instructions.
