Chapter 4 • Maintenance and cleaning
• BEFORE CLEANING THE APPLIANCE, DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM THE OUTLET
• THE CLEANING OF THE MEDIATEC COOKING ROBOT MUST BE DONE ONLY WHEN THE ROBOT IS OFF AND COLD
• DO NOT IMMERSE THE ENGINE BODY IN WATER OR LIQUIDS, DO NOT SPRAY DETERGENTS DIRECTLY ON THE ENGINE
BODY OR THE ELECTRONIC PARTS
• KEEP THE PRODUCT IN A DRY PLACE, AVOID SUN AND ATMOSPHERIC AGENTS
There are 3 elements that need cleaning, as they are directly involved in the cooking process;
1. THE COVER: use a damp cloth to clean the cover
2.THE OUTLET STEAM VALVE: use a damp cloth to clean the valve
3.THE CONTAINER:we recommend cleaning the container using a microfibre cloth or non-abrasive sponge, the container is made
of aluminum with a revolutionary coating of a highly durability and anti- adhesion resistent coating , this system prevents food from
sticking to the sides, ensuring a simpler and faster cleaning system. It is therefore important not to scratch the inner coating of the
container in order to avoid the loss of anti-adhesion. The container can be washed by hand with washing-up liquids, it is always
advisable to rinse the detergent residues thoroughly.
Chapter 5 - Analysis and removal of errors
MISTAKES MADE DURING THE PREPARATION AND SOLUTIONS WHEN FOOD IS UNDERCOOKED
CAUSES
The lid has been left opened or it has not been completely
closed.
Therefore the heat did not reach the temperature set.
• The ingredients are not suitable for the chosen recipe or the
wrong cooking program has been selected.
• The ingredients used have not been cut the right size, or the
proportions called for in the recipe have not been respected
• the recipe chosen is not suitable for this cooking robot.
During steaming, the amount of water in the pan is insufficient to
guarantee the required density of steam
While FRYING
Baked goods (NOT COOKED):
• During the leavening the dough has stuck to the sides of the
lid clogging the steam valve.
• You have put too much dough in the container.
CAUSES
• Do not open the lid while cooking
• Be sure to close the lid until you hear a click. Make sure there
are no obstacales preventing the closure of the lid or that the
silicone sealing is not deformed.
• It is preferably to use the right recipes (suitable for the model
of pot you are using) and try.
• The selection of ingredients. The way in which the ingredients
are cut,size and the proportions, the choice of the program and
the cooking time must correspond to the chosen recipe.
Pour in the pot the quantity of water needed according to the
recipe. If in doubt, check the water level during cooking.
• A thin layer of oil is sufficient during cooking
• Do not close the lid, unless requested by the recipe you are
following.
