Secure long hair so it is above shoulder level to prevent
entanglement in any moving parts.

sense when operating a power tool. Do not use tool

is to be used. Wildlife may be injured by the machine
during operation.

power head. These parts get hot from operation. Failure
to heed this warning could result in possible serious

Always stop the engine or motor and remove the spark
plug wire or disconnect from the power supply before
making any adjustments or repairs except for carburetor
adjustments.
Inspect unit before each use for loose fasteners and
damaged or missing parts. Correct before using the
attachment. Failure to do so can cause serious injury.
Use only manufacturer's recommended or equivalent
replacement parts. Failure to do so may cause poor
performance, possible injury, and will void your warranty.
Do not, under any circumstance, use any attachment or
accessory on this product, which was not provided with
the product, or identified as appropriate for use with this
product in the operator's manual.
Avoid dangerous environments. Do not use the attach-
ment in damp or wet locations. Do not use in rain.
Use the right attachment. Do not use attachment for any
job except that for which it is intended.
Ensure handle is mounted in accordance with the as-
sembly instructions in this manual.
WHEN USING A BATTERY OPERATED
POWER HEAD:
Use only with Ryobi P102, P107, P108, P189, P190,
P191, P192, P197, PBP002, PBP003, PBP004, PBP005
or PBP006 18V batteries, OR OP40201, OP40204,
OP40261, OP40301, OP40401, OP40404, OP40501,
OP40601, OP40602, OP40603, OP40604, OP40605,
OP40752, OP40753 or OP40804 40V batteries as ap-
plicable with your Ryobi power head.
Before using the machine, always visually inspect to see
that the cutter or blade and the cutter or blade assembly
are not damaged. Damaged parts increase the risk of
injury.
Follow instructions for changing accessories. Improperly
tightened blade securing nuts or bolts may either damage
the blade or result in it becoming detached.
The rated rotational speed of the blade must be at least
equal to the maximum rotational speed marked on the
machine. Blades running faster than their rated rotational
speed can break and fly apart.
