Store electrical machines out of the reach of children and anyone else who is not trained to operate. Tools are dangerous
in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain your machine. Properly maintained tools, with their sharp, clean edges, are less likely to fill and are easier to
control.
Check for misalignment or filling of moving, broken parts, or any other condition that may affect the operation of the machi-
ne. If there is damage, repair it before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained machines.
Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer of your model. Accessories that work for one machine can be
dangerous when used on another.
Do not alter or misuse the machine, it was built with precision, and any unspecified alteration or modification is considered
misuse and may result in a dangerous condition.
It is recommended that you use a suitable safety device such as a thermal and differential switch when using electrical equi-
pment.
Specific safety rules
Use only the disc models that are recommended for your machine and the respective disc protector. Discs not properly
sized for this machine will not be protected and are unsafe.
The disc guard must be firmly secured and in the correct position, so that the operator is not exposed to the part of the
disc that is uncovered. The protector protects the operator from the pieces that can be detached by the abrasion or the cut.
Discs should be used only for the recommended application.
Always use cable ties in good condition, the correct size and shape to hold the disc you are going to use. Using the proper
flange reduces the chance of disc breakage.
Don't force the disc, don't try to cut too deep. Overloading the disc could cause it to deform and this could cause kickback
or even rupture of the disc.
If the machine locks, turn it off and wait for movement to stop. Never try to unlock it while it is still in motion, as kickback
may occur.
Do not use worn or damaged discs. This can cause the disc to explode and cause serious personal injury. A depressed
center disc should not be used if it is worn below 3 inches in diameter.
Discs that are designed for cutting should be used at the speed listed on the cutting warning label. Discs or other acces-
sories operating over a higher speed range can be thrown and cause injury.
